The program included Norman Fischer reading a poem that will appear in NEW 3_2007,
Joanne Kyger reading from NOT VERACRUZ and Simone Fattal reading Etel Adnan's
French translations of Joanne's work, James Koller reading from A LOT TO KEEP
IN MIND, Michael Rothenberg reading from his own work, John Oliver Simon reading
his David Huerta translations and his own poems, Paul Kahn reading from THE
SECRET HISTORY OF THE MONGOLS, Grégoire Paultre's performance of insects
and voice, Irina Dyatlovskaya reading her Russian translations of Gary Snyder's
poems, and Gary Snyder reading poems and essays from BACK ON THE FIRE.
Interspersed between the readings were video presentations of three new pieces from Around the Blues in Eighty Worlds by François Tusques and Jean-Max Albert as well as the recent Rhetoric Machines exhibit by Noah Fischer.
