We celebrated the second Issue of NEW in Paris at Librairie Mazarine, the
fine art bookstore created by Pierre Durieu. Carl Clay Caulkins dazzled the
crowd with a surprise Buddy Holly show. Clay accompanied James Koller and
Jacqueline Cahen reading their own poems in English and French, followed by
Paul Kahn reading Joanne Kyger's poems and Etel Adnan reading her French
translations. The artist Marie-Noëlle Fontan presented several of her works
on display. Jean-Max Albert and François Tusques watched as Philippe Bertin
performed texts from Le Tour du Blues en Quatre-Vingts Mondes / Around the
Blues in Eighty Worlds. Albert's original art and books filled the window.
Gregoire Paultre finished the program with a music and sound montage. |
